THE WORLD SCOUT LEAGUE IS HERE!!!!

 

WORLD SCOUT LEAGUE COACHES AND BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE LEAGUE FOLLOWS:

 

 

NEWS FLASH...  BRIAN MARTIN HAS AGREED TO REJOIN THE ELITE AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER TO HAVE HIM AS A COACH AGAIN.  BRIAN IS A GREAT COACH AND HIS BASEBALL BACKGROUND AT SAN JAC, U OF H, SAM HOUSTON, AND THEN THE PRO LEVEL BRINGS ALOT TO THE PROGRAM AND MORE IMPORTANTLY THE PLAYERS.  PLEASE WELCOME BRIAN BACK AS I KNOW HE WILL BE A GREAT ADDITION.

 

 

 

ANOTHER ONE OF THE COACHES WILL BE BUBBA MAY WHO ALSO HAS EXTENSIVE BASEBALL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE.  BUBBA WAS ALSO DRAFTED  BY THE ASTROS.

 

 

 

THE ELITE HAS BEEN INVITED TO JOIN A NEW LEAGUE CALLED THE WORLD SCOUT LEAGUE.

IT IS A NATIONWIDE LEAGUE, WITH FOUR DISTRICTS HERE IN TEXAS.  AN EXAMPLE OF TEAMS THAT ARE ALSO IN THIS LEAGUE ARE THE D-BATS, PATRIOTS, SOX, FROZEN ROPES, SUNDEVILS, BURKBURNETT SOX, MCCKINNEY LIONS, ETC.  IT IS A NINE GAME LEAGUE SCHEDULE CONCLUDING WITH A WORLD SERIES IN ARIZONA.  THE QUALITY OF TEAMS WE WILL BE PLAYING WILL AUTOMATICALLY BRING IN SCOUTS.  THE REST OF THE SUMMER WILL CONSIST OF THE PERFECT GAME, ONE LARGER TOURNAMENT THE ELITE WILL PUT ON AND TWO OTHER LOCAL TOURNAMENTS THAT IF NECESSAY I WILL BRING IN SOME SCOUTS OUT OF MY OWN POCKET.

 

WE WILL HAVE 18U, 17U, 16U, AND 15U TEAMS.  THE TRYOUTS FOR THIS LEAGUE WILL BE HELD SEPARETLY AND WILL CONSIST OF 15 OR 16 OF THE BEST PLAYERS IN THIS AREA FOR EACH TEAM.   THIS IS A VERY SELECT LEAGUE AND WE ARE LUCKY TO BE INVITED.  THIS IS A CHANCE TO BE SEEN BY SCOUTS FROM ALL OVER TEXAS DURING LEAGUE PLAY, AND THE NATION DURING THE WORLD SERIES.  THERE WILL BE AN EXTRA CHARGE IF YOU MAKE THIS TEAM BUT THE OPPORTUNITIES WILL OUT WAY THAT ADDITIONAL COST.

BACK TO BACK H5A CHAMPIONS

 

We won the Fall Championship last year and now we have taken the Summer Championship.  Actually three championships in a row if you count the last tournament qualifier in the Fall, and don't get me started on last weeks tournament.

 

The first game Saturday saw good pitching from Jarrod Boyle and Austin LaFoy.  And plenty of hitting from almost everyone.  Efren Garcia and Justin Law each had three hits Austin Zillweger and Sam May had two hits each and Chris Inocencio and Ryan Knebel both smacked the ball around and Tyler Nelson and Jarrod also hit well. Brady May added an RBI and threw one from center field into the opposing team dugout that hit the back wall on the fly. One heck of a throw.  If that ball went any further it would have needed a flight attendant.  No harm done as we won 13 - 6, and Brady had two hits in the second game.  

 

On Sunday we beat the Banditos in the first game and went on to win the Championship game without any real threat.  Tim Carroll and Justin Law had very good tournaments as both batted over .700 for the weekend.  Brady May and Logan Boyd teamed up for the win against the Banditos and Justin went six strong innings in the final with Jarrod Boyle finishing the seventh inning for the save.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I hope you all have had an overall positive experience so far this summer.   We have had a few scheduling problems but overall with 10 scouts at the Elite Tournament at HBU and then again at the showcase the following week, and the week in Atlanta was good exposure.  Although the outcome was not what we anticipated I think it was a positive for the players.  We have a full schedule for Fall with at least four tournaments and at one showcase.  The same scout participation is expected during the next few tournaments and into fall.  I doubt any other program has brought in 25+ college recruiters plus participation in the Perfect Game WWBA.  I hope you come back to tryout for the teams.  We have proven that we will put your sons in front of plenty of scouts.  We plan the same in the fall.  Fall will cost $550 for returning Elite players.
